Face Love

Part love story, part survival test, part relationship therapy that no one consented to, Face Love follows two people just trying to stay together when the whole world has other plans.

Face Love is a bilingual romantic comedy created as a parallel production, shot twice with the same cast to produce two fully independent feature films: one in English (Face Love) and one in Spanish (Amor en toda la cara). Inspired by the award-winning short Hold for Applause, the feature follows Daniel, a British-Spaniard living in Los Angeles, who travels to Madrid to renew his visa just as a global pandemic shuts down borders. Stranded 5,900 miles away from his new girlfriend, Ana, a Mexican-American in Los Angeles, he must navigate immigration bureaucracy, cultural displacement, and a relationship sustained almost entirely through screens.
