Lace up your combat boots and whip out that black eyeliner for Edie Arnold is a Loser, an infectiously charming coming-of-age flick about a self-proclaimed loser starting a punk band at her Catholic high school.

Timid Catholic school dork Edie Arnold is dragged to a punk show where a mishap lands her on stage behind the drums. She’s mortified… but a natural. Convinced by her best friend, she secretly forms a band called The NunDead. Her newfound confidence leads to a date with the altar boy but also a fight that gets her suspended. Thinking she bailed on their first gig, her bandmates bust her out of the house just in time to win a Battle of the Bands. But when she faces expulsion and her mother’s wrath at a disciplinary hearing, footage of her kick-ass performance has an unexpected effect on her mom.

Kimmy and Victoria are both fed up with their dead-end jobs. Kimmy comes close to breaking away from her sad life when she gains fame from an online contest created by her favorite pop star: Nova Everly. But, when Kimmy fumbles the contest and her chance to meet the pop star she stans, Victoria tries to lift her spirits (and get in on the social media stardom) by staging a false encounter that ends up destroying their and Nova Everly’s reputation.
