Starring, written by, and directed by women, this heartfelt Puerto Rican comedy reflects on motherhood and friendship as it follows four childhood friends who reunite to support one of them during her home birth. In the process, each of them goes through their own “birth.”

Pilar, a 40-year-old first-time mother, reconnects with her childhood friends, inviting them to assist as her doulas during her home birth. As they accompany Pilar through this transformative process, challenges arise that go far beyond motherhood, deepening the bond between them. Together, they revisit old memories and navigate the complexities of friendship and motherhood.
