A return home on Christmas Eve transports Junior back to a familiar life of old traditions,
lots of coquito and the one who got away.

It’s Christmas in Florida and Junior hasn’t been home in 15 years, ever since his mother passed
away. He’s become consumed by work and estranged to the people he grew up with, his family,
friends and no one more so than Jennifer, the girl next door or better yet, “the one who got
away.” Jennifer is currently in a committed relationship with Mike, who can’t make it home for
Nochebuena, giving Junior and Jennifer an opportunity to reminisce on the past. Back home and
surrounded by the rich traditions of his Latino culture, Junior is transported to the memories of
his adolescence and is reminded just how important family and love really are.
